Who we are

HillyPages.com is a web platform that serves as an electronic marketplace for online classified advertising. HillyPages supports various businesses and ad types such as sales, rental, community events and services. The platform is suitable for different business sectors such as Business-to-Business (B2B), Business-to-Consumer (B2C) and Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C). HillyPages as a classified ad platform enables members to list products and services for sale as well as purchase.

  • Anyone can list a product/service.
  • Creating a listing is free.
  • Buyers can see product pictures and other details without registering.
  • Buyer can directly get in touch with the seller.

HillyPages is driven by a simple business model of connecting buyers and sellers free of charge. Our key objective is to promote trade and commerce for entrepreneurs and small business owners in the North Eastern state of India and beyond. The North Eastern states being referenced to here are listed in alphabetical order Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and West Bengal (In particular the northern regions).

What personal data we have access to and why we have access

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

CHANGE/DELETE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Users who registered an account may gain access to edit or delete information provided by them. The User shall bear responsibility for accuracy of data, or announcements posted by him/her to the Resource.

The User may disable or change account credentials through settings. Posted information can be changed or deleted on user’s personal account on the Resource web page, via application.

Upon your request, we will close your account and remove your personal information from view as soon as reasonably possible. Together with your account we also delete all materials that you have ever posted. Please remember that information related to you, and shared by and between other persons, shall not be considered as a part of your account, therefore, it will not be deleted together with your account

Change of Ownership

When you correspond with another user and receive personal information of the other user (such as their name, email address, contact details, shipping and billing address) you are, independent from us, the controller of such data and you must comply with the applicable privacy laws.

You may use the personal information that you have access to only for HillyPages transaction-related purposes or for other services offered through HillyPages (such as fraud complaints, and member-to-member communications) and for purposes expressly consented by the user to whom the information relates. Using personal information of other users that you have access to for any other purpose constitutes a violation of our Terms and conditions.
